I set up this journal to communicate with a new friend but now I see a new use for it. I am a teacher and I'm always trying to stay current with things my students might use, so this journal may help in that area. I tend to be very busy because I teach and design online classes, but one thing I have noticed in working with online classes is how important communication is, so I'm never too busy to talk to a new friend or a student.

At this time in my life, I have my pets at home (lab, 3 kitties and some fish, wild birds outside with the squirrels and chipmunks....but, I also have some bigger pets on our farm...thoroughbred horses. My husband and I are into breeding stronger, better throughbreds to sell or race.

I spend way too much time on the computer and so I am working on weaning myself away from it sometimes so I can go walk, workout a bit...just be outside. I like to play doubles tennis, but don't get to play as much as I used to...not enough good players around here. I love music, and am working on redoing our Nano...with favorite oldies, some rocky Christian, and favorite country people...a pretty eclectic mix...just into favorite songs.

Last think...I have always taken pictures...but since I got this digital camera...I love to think about composing pictures and take way too many pics that I have to weed out. I'm thinking about taking a photography class to get better...I do like making books for friends...the one's that you can create on sites like Winkflash and Shutterfly.
